Arbor Day!

(this poster is approximately 11x17",
conveniently perfect for framing)

Some boring Arbor Day facts for you:
  • The most common date for Arbor Day is the last Friday in April, but this varies from state to state.

  • Arbor Day was started in Nebraska by pioneer J. Sterling Morton in 1872 in response to the lack of trees in his new home state. It is estimated that more than one million trees were planted in Nebraska on that first Arbor Day.

  • Arbor Day was named a legal holiday in 1885.

Past holiday greetings:

2006: I have no idea what's going on here.

According to "The Definitive Guide to Blog Etiquette," by Seymour Sgolb, I should only make one comment per blog entry... So I won't make another one. Really.
